Don’t be fooled by its prickly name! Moroccan cactus silk is derived from The Saharan aloe vera cactus, which belongs to the agave family. Sometimes called vegetable or sabra silk, this luxurious, cruelty-free fabric is known for its strength and durability. After the silk is extracted from the plant, fibers are hand-dyed using spice and botanical pigments. Traditional Berber symbols are hand-embroidered on each piece to create a one-of-a-kind design. Each pillow is uniquely made and numbered by collection.

Moroccan Leather 101
Using traditional techniques that date back to the medieval times, Morocco is home to some of the oldest and largest leather tanneries in the world. Today, hides are handcrafted into soft, luxurious leathers, without the use of modern machinery. Old worn techniques mixed with modern designs are what make Moroccan leather goods timeless pieces. Treated leather is dyed using plant based pigments, which include cedar wood for brown, poppy flower for red, saffron for yellow, and more.
